The protestors gathered at the Ajman offices of Abu Dhabi-based SEIDCO contracting company, according to Gulf News. Police forces attended the scene but no arrests were made and the issue was resolved peacefully. Ajman Police commander-in-chief Brigadier Sheikh Sultan Bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi told the publication that the company had not paid salaries for three months. Company representatives promised Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation personnel that they would pay workers this month. “We went to the site and spoke to the workers and calmed them down… we listened to their complaints and dealt with them immediately,” Al Nuaimi said. He also warned against uploading videos of workers protesting on social media. Workers from several construction companies in Saudi Arabia have protested in recent months following the non-payment of their salaries.
