Dubai Airports said 15 inbound flights were diverted and a number of outbound flights were delayed. “The comfort of all passengers is our top priority and Dubai Airports is working with airlines and our other stakeholders to minimise inconvenience to our customers and normalise operations as quickly as possible,” a spokesperson added. Among those impacted was Dubai carrier Emirates, which had previously warned of high passenger traffic at Terminal 3 due to the start of spring holidays for students. The airline said more than 89,000 passengers would pass through Dubai International’s Terminal 3 from Thursday, March 23, with 34,500 alone expected on Friday, March 24.
