Home GCC UAE UAE Cabinet approves national family policy The country wants to provide greater support for Emirati families inline with its objectives by Staff Writer March 19, 2018 The UAE Cabinet has approved a national family policy designed to encourage Emirati families to be stable and responsible. The new policy, approved on Sunday, aims to raise awareness of family rights and duties “to ensure their contribution to sustainable social development”, state media said. It also seeks to ensure future Emirati families are capable of coping with the “stresses of family life” to provide stability in the coming generations. The policy focuses on marriage, family relations, balance of roles, child protection, family protection and re-engineering the provision of services to achieve happiness. The Ministry of Community Development will coordinate with local and federal authorities for implementation. The UAE Cabinet also approved a new federal law regulation pharmacists, pharmaceuticals and medical products with the aiming of boosting the country’s capacity to combat diseases and a healthcare IT law designed to upgrade health services in accordance with international standards. Other approvals included for nationwide standards for radio receivers to help attract international investment in the media and environmentally friendly communication. 0 Comments
