Bahrain’s Investcorp acquires German office campus for $99m

Bahrain’s Investcorp on Monday announced its acquisition of an office campus in Eschborn, Germany for around EUR86m ($99.2m).

The deal for the newly-renovated KO Kampus, which comprises three office buildings spanning 40,000sqm, research and development areas, data and design centres and a restaurant and conference rooms, is the company’s second in the German real estate market.

The firm previously purchased Stuttgart’s Bürocampus Wangen in April together with Continuum Capital Investment Management.

Co-CEO Hazem Ben-Gacem said the company would continue identifying opportunities in the sector.

Investcorp also acquired German HR software provider and job marketplace Softgarden for an undisclosed sum earlier this month.

The company said in August it expected to make its first direct investments in China and India.
