The Dubai South facility spans 23,000sqm and is designed to meet growing demand from customers across the Middle East. Souq said the site would create 600 new jobs and widen its selection of goods. It brings the company’s total number of fulfilment centres in the UAE to three. “The increased fulfillment capacity also benefits our sellers, who comprise of thousands of small and medium sized businesses, by enabling them to scale up their businesses on our marketplace,” said Souq co-founder and CEO Ronaldo Mouchawar. Souq’s regional selection currently spans 8.4 million products after Amazon global products were made available to customers.
