Home GCC UAE Sheikh Mohamed visits Singapore as part of Asia trip The UAE and Singapore are looking to boost bilateral ties by Staff writer February 28, 2019 Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in Singapore on Thursday, continuing his tour of Asian countries. Sheikh Mohamed was welcomed by Singaporean President Halimah Yacob at the Istana, her official residence and office. They discussed ways to further develop bilateral relations and boost co-operation between the two countries in areas such as trade, investment, tourism, culture and education. Regional and international issues of common concern were also discussed, official news agency WAM reported. Pleased to visit the Republic of Singapore and meet with Her Excellency Halimah Yacob. Sheikh Mohamed’s visit to Singapore follows a two-day trip of South Korea earlier this week, where he discussed co-operation in 5G technology, information technology, security and defence with President Moon Jae-in.
