Dubai’s Global Village has closed its doors for the current season with immediate effect in line with measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, it was announced on Sunday.

The 2019-2020 season was slated to end on April 4.

Last week, Global Village had announced that all concerts would be cancelled as a precautionary measure.

The latest move comes after Dubai announced on Sunday that all events in the emirate would be suspended until the end of the month. It also closed all theme parks, entertainment venues, spas, museums, gyms as well as public libraries and museums.
