UAE’s property developer Emaar Group has adopted a work-from-home policy for its employees effective Monday, March 23, official news agency WAM reported.

The move is in line with several measures undertaken by the government to combat the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The world is facing one of the biggest challenges in its modern history,” said Mohammed Alabbar, chairman of Emaar Properties.

“The UAE has set an example for precautionary and preventive measures against Covid-19. Collective efforts are vital to tide over this critical period.”

He assured Emaar’s customers, partners and affiliates that these measures will not impact the company’s operations.

“We are committed to delivering our services without compromising quality and overall customer satisfaction. We remain united as a group in providing exceptional services as per our customers’ expectations,” Alabbar said.

The company’s customer channels will be operating 24/7 and the frontline team will be fully committed to providing services during this period, the statement said.

The UAE has introduced a string of preventive measures, to combat the spread of the contagion, including the suspension of all inbound and outbound passenger flights and the transit of airline passengers for two weeks, it announced on Monday, March 23.
