However, residents will now be allowed to move freely between the different regions of the emirate – Abu Dhbai, Al Ain and Al Dhafrah – starting at 6am on Tuesday, June 23. Movement within the emirate will be permitted from 6am-10pm daily, and will be restricted during the hours in which the National Sterilisation Programme is in effect (10pm-6am). “The news follows the achievements of promising indicators in the number of cases of Covid-19 found through testing in Abu Dhabi,” the Abu Dhabi Media Office tweeted while confirming the decision was reached by Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis & Disaster Committee for the Covid-19 Pandemic in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Police and the Department of Health. The special permits can be obtained from the Abu Dhabi police website. Officials from the emirate said last week that residents could exit the emirate without applying for a permit, but would require one in case they are reentering. The ministry also reported one additional death, raising the death toll to 302.
