Air Arabia Abu Dhabi announces new flights

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi, has said that it will launch a new service to Bangladesh’s port city of Chattogram with direct flights from Abu Dhabi starting on October 11.

The capital’s first low-cost carrier will fly from Abu Dhabi to Chattogram twice every week on Sundays and Tuesdays.

Serviced by an Airbus A320, the flight will take off from Abu Dhabi at 9am and land at Chattogram at 4.10pm.

The flight from Chattogram will depart from the Bangladeshi airport at 4.50pm and land at Abu Dhabi by 8.20pm.

The addition of Chattogram will increase the carrier’s network to seven destinations.

It already operates a flight to the Bangladesh capital city of Dhaka twice a week on Fridays and Wednesdays.

The new airline – the UAE’s fifth – was formed following an agreement by Etihad Airways and Air Arabia to establish an independent joint venture company that will operate as a low-cost passenger airline with Abu Dhabi International Airport as its hub.

Its inaugural flight took off from Abu Dhabi on July 14.

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi follows the business model of Air Arabia and will complement the services of Etihad Airways.
