Dubai-based Noon.com, Mashreq Bank jointly launch co-branded credit card

Noon.com and Mashreq Bank have teamed up to launch UAE’s first e-commerce co-branded credit card, the Mashreq noon VIP Visa Credit Card.

The credit card comes with several benefits including 3.5 per cent cashback on all purchases at noon.com, 1 per cent cashback on all other domestic and international spends, a joining bonus of Dh500, and zero annual fees.

Additionally, cardholders will receive noon.com benefits including free delivery on all express orders, discounts at multiple partners, and zero per cent interest rate for the first six months.

This announcement is part of a long-term partnership between the two companies, according to a statement from noon.com, founded by Emaar chairman, Mohamed Alabbar.

“I firmly believe our market is on the cusp of a large e-commerce revolution, one which the pandemic will only accelerate,” said Alabbar.

The noon VIP programme will be available to all Mashreq and noon.com customers who are registered Mashreq noon VIP Visa credit cardholders.

“The region’s e-commerce landscape has accelerated over the last few months as people increasingly shop online due to the Covid-19 pandemic,” observed Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair, chairman of Mashreq Bank.
