The 1,600-square-meter UFC Gym Abu Dhabi will offer numerous training areas, including strength equipment and cardio area, battle ropes, agility ladders, and large mat areas specifically designed for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and other martial arts training for both youth and adults. The ground floor will be dedicated to a freestyle fitness area, where UFC GYM’s signature class, Daily Ultimate Training (DUT) will take place and where members can work-out individually. The first floor is UFC GYM’s will offer Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, boxing, kick-boxing conditioning, Fight Fit and will also be home to a 24-foot Octagon. The second floor meanwhile will feature a group exercise and private coaching studio for Zumba, Yoga and Spinning, Barbell Conditioning, as well as an extensive range of resistance machines and cardio area. Ladies-only classes will also be available for women who wish to work-out together. The gym will also offer exclusive youth programmes for children aged 12 and above which include focus on improving overall body coordination, agility, and strength. “Abu Dhabi has become a central focus for MMA and UFC over the past few months and will continue to be the central point for UFC events in the future – making it the ideal location for a new UFC GYM. We’re looking forward to providing people of all ages and fitness levels with our ‘Train Different’ methods, helping them to achieve their individual goals,” said Wissam Abi Nader, UFC GYM director, Middle East Franchising. On the UFC Gym website, the gym says that it is present in 150 locations worldwide, and will be present in 138 countries this year.
