Restaurants and cafes in the emirate have been instructed to close daily by 11pm, starting February 23.

The directive was issued by the emirate’s Crisis, Disaster and Emergency Management team, though it did not specify until when this ruling will remain in effect.

It said the decision was reached as a new measure to combat the spread of Covid-19.

It added that restaurants selling snacks are exempt from this decision. Restaurants and cafes will also be permitted to operate delivery services post 11pm.

In-classroom learning across all schools and nurseries in Ajman has already been suspended indefinitely.
