Air Canada to resume direct flights between Dubai and Toronto

Air Canada has confirmed that it has resumed direct flights between Dubai and Toronto.

It has begun operating the Toronto-Dubai leg as of June 1, with the Dubai-Toronto flights slated to commence from Thursday, June 3.

Flights from Toronto to Dubai will depart every Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday at 9.10pm and arrive in Dubai the following day at 6.10pm.

Flights from Dubai bound for Toronto meanwhile will depart every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday at 11.20pm and arrive the following day at 5.20am.

Air travellers 5 years of age or older travelling to Canada are required to provide proof of a negative Covid-19 molecular test taken no more than 72 hours before the aircraft’s initial scheduled departure time.

Those who have previously tested positive for Covid-19 must provide proof of a positive Covid-19 molecular test conducted between 14 and 90 days prior to departure, instead of a negative Covid-19 molecular test.

Passengers travelling to Canada must undergo a Covid-19 molecular test on the first day that they enter Canada and again later during their quarantine period as directed by a quarantine officer (unless they have proof of a previous positive test result 14-90 days before arrival). They must check-in at a government-authorised accommodation that they have pre-booked and remain there until they receive their on-arrival test result. If the test result is negative, they can check-out of the aforementioned accommodation and proceed to a suitable place where they can complete their 14-day quarantine.
