Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed appointed deputy ruler of Sharjah

He was also appointed as the Chairman of the Petroleum Council in Sharjah

Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and the Ruler of Sharjah has appointed Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi as the deputy ruler of the emirate.

He was also appointed as the Chairman of the Petroleum Council in Sharjah. The appointments were made by virtue of decrees issued by Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad.

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed is the chairman of the Sharjah Media Council and President of the Sharjah National Oil Corporation (SNOC). He holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Arkansas State University in US and a Master of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems from University of Detroit Mercy in Michigan, US, according to the SNOC website.

Taking to Twitter, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed expressed his gratitude: “I extend my great gratitude and thanks to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, for his great confidence.”
