Home UAE Abu Dhabi Wizz Air Abu Dhabi to begin flights to Bahrain It will operate thrice weekly services starting September 9 by Gulf Business August 10, 2021 Wizz Air Abu Dhabi has said that it will begin flights to Bahrain starting September 9. The flight to Bahrain will operate thrice a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. The UAE national airline has already started selling tickets for the route with one-way fares starting at Dhs129. The flight will depart Abu Dhabi at 7.10am and reach Bahrain at 7.25am local time. The return flight will depart Manama at 11.05am and reach the capital of the UAE at 1.20pm. “Increasing the connectivity within the GCC has always been a priority for us at Wizz Air Abu Dhabi. We are excited to offer an alternative and affordable travel option for the short flight to the Kingdom of Bahrain. We are confident that Bahrain will be a welcome addition to our flight roster,” said Kees Van Schaick, managing director of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi. The airline recently announced that it will soon commence flights to Tirana and Sarajevo. The addition of Bahrain increases the airline’s overall destination network to 32. Starting July 31, Abu Dhabi added Bahrain to its green list of countries. Vaccinated travellers arriving from these destinations will be exempt from mandatory quarantine measures after landing in Abu Dhabi and will be required to undergo PCR testing upon arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport, as well as another PCR test on day 6.
