GITEX Future Stars – the startup arm of GITEX Global, will be held from October 17-20 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The event is the largest in the Middle East and North Africa, with over 700 companies from more than 60 countries exhibiting, including India, Brazil, France, Japan, Italy, South Korea, and others. In addition, this year will also witness new startups from Sweden, Serbia, Egypt, Israel, Oman, Palestine and more. Listed below are some of the startups from the event – UAE Pupilar – Targeting the creative and tech sectors, Pupilar solves the highest youth unemployment rates in the Middle East. Augmented City – An innovative startup created by a team of highly skilled computer vision specialists, Augmented City has developed a unique Spatial Computing platform. South Korea Rootonix – The startup was chosen as Brand K, Korea’s national brand project organised by the Ministry of SMEs and startups in 2020, and it was the only company selected in the hair loss and scalp device sectors. In 2021, they received a special prize and a bronze medal in the invention section at the Geneva International Invention Exhibition, Switzerland. In addition, Rootonix awarded four categories of the 2020 Seoul International Invention Exhibition by obtaining various overseas certifications and two types of the 2019 iENA International Idea Coconut Silo – A spin-off company from Hyundai, is a logistics/commercial vehicle specialised mobility startup. Its advanced freight logistics platform “Cocotruck” connects all types of players in the logistics market into a single place. Moreover, with the use of big data, it enhances efficiency and enables logistics companies to maximise the number of orders received. It also enriches the ecosystem by providing a SaaS (Software as a Service) platform for B2B users to manage their resources easier and become a greener company.
