Home Industry Technology Ajman Free Zone’s tech sector records 21% growth in 2021 The number of tech companies in the integrated business hub reached more than 550 in 2021 by Divsha Bhat February 24, 2022 The Ajman Free Zone (AFZ) released the results of its 2021 operational performance in the technology sector and reported significant growth of 21 per cent compared to 2020. The business hub currently hosts over 550 registered companies in the sector. The positive growth in results indicates the growing confidence of foreign investors and technology companies in AFZ’s offerings in the sector. Moreover, the sustained growth in the sector also points to AFZ’s willingness to contribute to the advancement of technology in Ajman. The free zone continues to play a pivotal role in technological advancements and upgrades in line with the UAE’s vision for the next 50 years, a statement said. Meanwhile, the free zone has also focused on developing automation programmes to accelerate digital transformation – implementing new initiatives and products like the artificial intelligence robotics hub, a one-stop-shop for entrepreneurs, entities, and SMEs to explore new business opportunities network with industry experts, and acquire new skills.
