Dubai’s RTA receives ICXS certificate for Dubai Metro and Tram

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), represented by the Rail Agency and Keolis-MHI (the operator of Dubai Metro and Tram) has obtained the International Customer Experience Standards (ICXS) certificate for the Dubai Metro and Tram.

RTA achieved a rating of 87.2 per cent, which conforms to the international standard of the ICXS certificate. This milestone underpins RTA’s role in improving customer experience in public transport across the region.

The ICXS is the only standard in the world that focuses on optimising the entire passenger journey while focusing on individual interaction and interface points, which is essential for multi-systems. It is an important accreditation that enables companies to maintain the highest standards in customer experience, thereby enhancing customers’ loyalty and happiness index.

In recent news, RTA opened Phase I of the Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Improvement Corridor Project, extending from the intersection of Ras Al Khor with Dubai-Al Ain Road (Bu Kadra intersection) to the intersection of Ras Al Khor Road with Nad Al Hamar Road. Works included widening the road from three to four lanes in each direction over a four-kilometre sector, and opening all bridges leading to Dubai Creek Harbour, extending 1,730 metres, with a capacity of about 10,600 vehicles per hour.
