Dusit Residence And Suites Doha Opening Late 2013

Dusit Residence and Suites Doha, set to be the Thai-based operator’s first Dusit branded property in Qatar, aims to open late 2013.

Located in the heart of Doha’s diplomatic district overlooking the Corniche, the high-rise property offers views across the Arabian Gulf and is close to Doha Exhibition Centre and the upcoming Doha International Conference and Exhibition Centre.

Andrew Shaw, Dusit International regional director of Development – Europe, Middle East and Africa, said it will target business and leisure travellers and strive to “set new standards” in terms of product quality and service levels.

Dusit International is actively seeking luxury hotel and serviced residence management opportunities in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Oman, and further grow its presence in the UAE, where it recently opened its second hotel, Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi, complementing its well-established hotel in Dubai.

In this month’s Business Traveller Middle East, David Shackleton, Dusit International’s COO, said its D2 contemporary brand is also set to come to the region. “We’re in the final throes of signing a contract for D2 in Dubai, it’s an existing site,” he said.
