NH Collection Dubai The Palm has launched its vegan friendly rooms, in what it says is the first of its kind in Dubai.

These rooms will feature a wide range of sustainable and vegan amenities.

The vegan friendly rooms will offer duvets, pillow fillings, and mattress toppers made from sustainable materials.

Guests will also find a selection of vegan amenities in the room, along with compostable amenities and vegan snacks.

The hotel says that it uses exclusively vegan-friendly wet amenities in its rooms. The wet amenities are 100 per cent vegan, while the dry amenities are made from sustainable products, free from animal-derived ingredients and which have never been tested on animals too. These products are free from sulphates, parabens, silicon, and gluten too.

NH Collection Dubai The Palm also offers many vegan culinary options across all its food and beverage outlets.

“We are thrilled to introduce our vegan-friendly rooms to provide guests with a sustainable and compassionate accommodation options,” said Manish Jha, general manager at NH Collection Dubai The Palm.

“Being the very first hotel in Dubai with vegan-friendly rooms, we hope to create awareness about the positive impact of vegan and sustainable choices without compromising on comfort and luxury.”

The hotel has also implemented a number of other sustainability-driven initiatives.

The property has an in-house water bottling plant, eliminating the need for plastic water bottles.

Additionally, solar panels generate hot water, and condensed water from the air conditioning system is repurposed for irrigation purposes.

Shower caps and sanitary bags provided are compostable, while pens and pencils are plantable. All dry amenities are packaged in natural, plastic-free materials.

Elsewhere in the UAE, Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental Abu Dhabi unveiled its vegan rooms earlier this year. A total of six rooms at that property have been designated as vegan rooms. As such, Mandarin Oriental says that they have “sustainable bedding and cruelty-free bath amenities.” Furthermore, the furniture, fixtures and equipment in the room are made from non-animal products, the amenities are by Palatino, the terry and linen by Cachet, in-room cleaning takes place using plant-based products, while guests can avail of a vegan spa treatment and also a bespoke vegan dining menu and mini-bar offerings.
