A fire broke out in the parking lot of Shatha Tower in Dubai’s Media City forcing the building to be evacuated after a car reportedly lost control in the basement level. Two fire engines, a police car and an ambulance arrived at the scene. A man was seen being given oxygen outside the building as smoke billowed out from the parking entrance. Eyewitnesses told Gulf Business that a car in the basement parking level caught fire, allegedly because of a tyre malfunction. Mohammed Mansoor,the building manager, confirmed to us that a car had caught fire and that it was now extinguished, and that no-one was injured. He didn’t provide further details. Neighbouring building Media One Hotel was flooded with Shatha Tower’s workers as around 1,000 people were forced to leave the building. 0 Comments
