According to a statement released by WAM, the state news agency, the mourning period has been confirmed for three days, during which flags will be flown at half-mast across all official departments within the country, as well as at the nation’s embassies and diplomatic missions abroad. The Kuwaiti royal court had earlier confirmed the passing of the country’s leader on Saturday. In a statement, they expressed deep sorrow, mourning the loss of Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Sabah, the Emir of the State of Kuwait.
