Home Industry Media Dubai Lynx Awards Announced P&G was named advertiser of the year, while Y&R Dubai bagged the advertising agency of the year award. by Aarti Nagraj March 8, 2012 Y&R Dubai retained its title as the agency of the year and Procter & Gamble was named advertiser of the year at the Dubai Lynx Advertising Awards 2012. Meanwhile Leo Burnett won both the network of the year award as well as the media agency of the year award at the ceremony on Wednesday. Raja Trad, CEO of Leo Burnett Group MENA was also presented with the Dubai Lynx Advertising Person of the year award. This year, Dubai Lynx received 2,037 entries from 17 countries, and 34 industry experts formed the judging panel. The awards were bestowed in 14 categories including film, film craft, print, outdoor, print and poster craft, radio, direct, design, PR, promo and activation, media, mobile, interactive and integrated. In total, the sixth edition of the advertising awards saw 188 winners: seven Grands Prix, 44 Golds, 55 Silvers and 82 Bronze. The Dubai Lynx awards are organised by Cannes Lions and Motivate Publishing.
