Home UAE Abu Dhabi Etihad Launches Daily Zurich Flights Daily services on A330-300 aircraft will be supported by Etihad Regional’s traffic growth by Dominic Ellis June 2, 2014 Etihad Airways has bolstered its Swiss network after starting daily flights to Zurich. EY073 was met with the customary water cannon welcome as it touched down on schedule at Zurich Airport on Sunday morning, complementing existing daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Geneva which were launched 10 years ago. The new route is served by an Airbus A330-300 aircraft configured with eight first class, 32 business class and 191 economy class seats. On Sunday, the airline also started daily flights to Los Angeles on A340-500 aircraft. The Zurich launch dovetails with the expansion of Etihad Regional, which started flights to Linz, Dusseldorf, Verona and Lyon this week, and starts flights to Florence on Monday. Etihad Regional, which flies daily from Zurich to Geneva and Leipzig-Halle, and recently launched three flights per week between Zurich and Turin, operates eight Saab 2000 aircraft and by June will add four ATR 72-500s to its fleet. 0 Comments
