Under the agreement, IBM said it would provide IT services designed to allow the carrier to improve efficiency on its passenger support systems and functions. The managed services deal includes assistance encrypting the airline’s data in real time and system to allow its software components to communicate more effectively, according to the company. IBM also signed a $700m deal with Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways in October for IT services and infrastructure.
