Choose to unwind in either the China, Europe, Sunken or Velvet lounges.

If you want to relax in style, head to the Living Room at Grand Hyatt Dubai.

As you enter the newly opened lounge and bar, the dimmed lights, the lazy ambience, and the soulful music combine to create a soothing effect. Once in, you can choose to unwind in any of the four thematic areas – the China, Europe, Sunken or Velvet lounges.

Each of these places has a different design: while China and Europe are more predictably patterned, the Velvet and Sunken lounges are more uniquely designed. One thing they all have in common though, is that they all allow guests enough space to relax.

After a drink and some relaxing, if you feel that your muscles could do with a bit of stretching, you can head next door to the hotel’s Ahasees Spa and Club. The spa and club – also inaugurated recently – includes outdoor and indoor swimming areas, fitness facilities and several spa treatment rooms.

The wellness mantra at Ahasees is themed around water, and it also blends in local elements from Dubai – such as like fragrances and spices.

The spa offers the regular gamut of massages and body treatments. It uses products from the June Jacobs Spa Collection and also has its own Ahasees product line offering locally inspired therapies.

One of the unique offerings is a thermal floating bed, which helps circulation in the body, and forces you to relax. you can also spend time in the sauna, the steam room, under the cooling Hydro shower or at the ice fountain.

But if you are not a spa kind of person and fancy some vigorous exercise, you can make use of the club’s four tennis courts, its 450-metre jogging track or its plethora of pools.
