Passengers arriving from the green list destinations are exempt from mandatory quarantine measures after landing in Abu Dhabi and will only be required to undergo PCR testing upon arrival at Abu Dhabi Airport. According to the latest update released by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT), the green list now has 23 destinations, up from 14 in the previous update issued earlier this month. The new inclusions in the list include: Cuba, Japan, Portugal, Russia, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tajikistan, United Kingdom and Uzbekistan. The addition of the UK on the list comes after the country has managed to keep its Covid-19 cases under control amidst a rapid vaccination rollout. “We’re getting through this. There’s no question that things are better than they were,” UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson told journalists on Friday. The country is currently reopening its economy gradually, with all restrictions aimed at being lifted on June 21.
