Home Transport Aviation Abu Dhabi Airports sign MoU with Beijing Capital Airport The agreement will allow for knowledge sharing in areas such as staff training and airport operations by Staff Writer December 27, 2017 Abu Dhabi Airports has signed a memorandum of understanding for Abu Dhabi International Airport and Beijing Capital International Airport to become sister airports. The MoU strengthens the ties between the two aviation hubs and includes provisions for knowledge and experience sharing. The airports will seek to collaborate in areas such as staff training across all aspects of airport operations and management including terminal operations, airside management, route development, and commercial management. The agreement also allows for cooperation on joint projects such as hub development, airport planning, and service quality evaluation. Acting CEO of Abu Dhabi Airports, Abdul Majeed Al Khoori, and Chairman of BICA Liu Xuesong, signed the MoU at BCIA headquarters in the presence of the UAE’s Ambassador to China, Dr Ali Al Dhaheri. Al Khoori said: “We are excited to be collaborating with a globally leading aviation partner. This MoU will be the base for an ongoing strategic partnership and future collaboration between AUH and BICA. It will enable the sharing of best practices, exploring challenges, and working together with the aim of elevating the quality of services and facilities in both international hubs.” Liu added: “Both BCIA and AUH possess state-of-the art infrastructure and have accumulated profound knowledge in airport operation and management. We welcome the opportunity to working together with our colleagues at AUH to share information and expertise, to improve passenger experience, and to strengthen the relationship between Beijing and Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi Airports has previously signed sister airport agreements with two other international airports – Chicago Airport and Narita Airport – seeking to drive the growth and development of the aviation industry locally and internationally. 0 Comments
