Both public and private sector workers have been given Thursday, September 13 off to celebrate the occasion, which officially falls today (Tuesday). Read: UAE private sector holiday confirmed for Islamic New Year Abu Dhabi’s Department of Transport said surface parking bays would be free of charge from Thursday to 7:59am on Saturday, September 15. However, bays will still be subject to resident permit regulation from 9:00pm to 8:00am. All customer centres in the capital will be closed until Sunday, September 16. Abu Dhabi introduced paid parking across the city last month.
