Abu Dhabi firm wins Dhs 1bn contract for Emaar’s Mira Oasis townhouses

Abu Dhabi-based Trojan General Contracting has won a Dhs 1bn construction contract from Dubai developer Emaar Properties, it announced on Monday.

The contract covers the construction of the Mira Oasis townhouses, which form part of Emaar’s larger residential development Reem.

The second phase of the Mira Oasis community consists of 1393 units and is divided into three plots that will comprise of fully fitted townhouses.

The three- and four- bedroom units will come in different types of housing clusters and also offer other lifestyle amenities.

Construction of the townhouses began in June 2016 and is anticipated to reach completion by the end of 2018.

It is being built in three stages with phase one, two and three due for completion in December 2017, September 2018 and December 2018 respectively.

Trojan General Contracting has been appointed as the sole contractor on the project.

The contractor’s parent company – Trojan Holding’s – seven specialised subsidiaries will also be involved at various stages.

These include –

 National Projects & Construction for high-rise and infrastructure projects

 Reem Readymix for concrete and plastering materials

 Royal Advance Electromechanical Works for installation and commissioning of electrical systems, water supply and distribution systems

Reem Emirates Aluminum & Glass for glass façade and metal cladding

Hitech Precast & Block Works for pre-cast concrete

Al Maha Modular steel structures for steel structure fabrications

Phoenix Timber for interior design

Located near Arabian Ranches, the wider Reem project is anchored by a central park with interactive fountains, walkways and a water feature.

It will also feature a retail plaza, schools, jogging and bicycle paths, a miniature golf course and an amphitheatre. Exotic facilities include a desert botanical park, sand surfing and camel riding trails, go karting track, dune buggies, rock climbing wall, cricket pitch, soccer field and a skate park.
