Effective Friday, August 20, those vaccinated and participants in a clinical trial can enter Abu Dhabi if they have green pass and an active E or star icon on Alhosn app. A PCR test is required to show the E-star icon, which remains active for 7 days. The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee which issued the directive added that no further testing is required after entering Abu Dhabi for those vaccinated and participants in a clinical trial with green pass and an active E or star icon on Alhosn if they remain in the emirate. Unvaccinated individuals who have taken a PCR test to gain entry to Abu Dhabi must repeat a PCR test on day four and day eight of their stay in the emirate. Meanwhile, those who have entered on the merit of a DPI test must take a PCR test on day three and seven of their stay in Abu Dhabi. A DPI test cannot be used to enter Abu Dhabi consecutive times. Updated green list for international arrivals Abu Dhabi has also updated its green list to include a total of 33 destinations. Starting August 22, the countries which have been added to the existing list include Armenia, Austria, Jordan, Kuwait and Netherlands. Vaccinated travellers arriving directly into Abu Dhabi from green list destinations must take a PCR test on arrival without the need to quarantine, and take a PCR test on day 6. When arriving from other destinations, they must take a PCR test on arrival, quarantine for 10 days and take another PCR test on day 9.
