Travellers are also mandated to adhere to approved quarantine protocols, the Abu Dhabi Crisis, Emergency and Disasters Committee for Covid-19 Pandemic has confirmed. Current entry guidelines still apply; entry is permitted in the capital emirate within 48 hours of receiving a negative Covid-19 PCR test or a negative laser DPI test to screen for the virus. All visitors and residents entering Abu Dhabi and staying there for six consecutive days, or more, must undergo a PCR test on the sixth day of their visit. Abu Dhabi’s flagship carrier Etihad Airways announced earlier this month that all UAE residents returning to Abu Dhabi onboard the carrier’s flights must self-isolate at home for 14 days. Additionally, the passengers must don medically approved wristbands. The nation-wide death toll, meanwhile, has risen to 412.
