Abu Dhabi to undertake infrastructure projects worth Dhs908m

Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada) is working on seven infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi East to offer better services in the region, official news agency WAM reported.

The projects will include “sustainable projects in the form of integrated residential complexes,” claimed Afraa Al Hajeri, head of Infrastructure Section at Abu Dhabi Housing Authority (ADHA).

Musanada’s acting roads and infrastructure executive director, Saleh Al Sheibah Al Mazrouei, added that the projects will cost approximately Dhs908m.

They will span across several areas including Al Wathba North, Al Rhba city, Al Nahda military area, Bani Yas, Al Shawamekh and Bani Yas East, he said.

No further details were given regarding the projects and when they are expected to be completed.

The projects are part of many ongoing infrastructural developments in Abu Dhabi.

In January this year, Abu Dhabi approved infrastructure projects worth Dhs241m towards improving power supply and renovating roads. Meanwhile projects worth Dhs204m were given the go-ahead in May.

Also, in July last year, Abu Dhabi’s Executive Council approved roads, infrastructure, services and education projects worth Dhs544m ($148m).

That included Dhs108m of roads and infrastructure in several plots at Mohamed bin Zayed City; contracting for internal roads and infrastructure in the Al Nahda Military Residential Zone, Bani Yas and Al Shawamekh worth more than Dhs102m; and Dhs54.577m for the development of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Road.
