Home Transport Aviation Abu Dhabi’s Etihad to add fourth daily to London for a month The service will operate from December 15, 2018 to January 13, 2019 to meet peak demand by Aarti Nagraj October 4, 2018 Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Airways will increase its flights to London Heathrow from three to four daily services for a month from December 15, 2018 until January 13, 2019 to meet peak demand. The additional service will be operated by a two-class Boeing 787-9, with 28 business class seats and 271 economy seats. Flight EY13 will depart from Abu Dhabi at 7.05am and land in London Heathrow at 11am. The return flight EY14 will leave London at 12.50pm and arrive in the UAE capital at 11.45pm. The new flight will operate in addition to Etihad’s scheduled three daily Abu Dhabi to London services which will continue to operate on three-class Airbus A380 aircraft. James Harrison, general manager for Etihad Airways in the United Kingdom and Ireland, said: “We are thrilled to announce more flights to London over the festive period. This is a busy time for local guests travelling between both capitals and the extra service will allow more choice and flexibility in their travel.” The additional services will also provide more connecting opportunities for passengers travelling between London and other destinations on Etihad’s global network, the airline said. Etihad has also recently announced seasonal frequency increases and aircraft upgrades on other routes to meet increased demand over the peak winter period, including to Bahrain, Belgrade, Cairo, Istanbul, Madinah and Kuwait. 0 Comments
