Home Industry Trade Abu Dhabi’s Khalifa Industrial Zone appoints CEO Samir Chaturvedi is a former SVP at Jebel Ali Free Zone by Robert Anderson September 23, 2018 Abu Dhabi Ports on Sunday announced the appointment of a former official at Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free zone as the new CEO of Khalifa Industrial Zone (KIZAD) Samir Chaturvedi will oversee the growth of the zone, which is considered key to Abu Dhabi’s diversification efforts. Abu Dhabi Ports said he has 35 years of experience in “executing business strategies for economic zone entities” and other industries. “We are thrilled to welcome Samir Chaturvedi on board and are confident that his industry knowledge and execution track record will help move KIZAD forward to capitalise on opportunities ahead,” said Abu Dhabi Ports CEO captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi. KIZAD and its associate port have attracted more than $1bn of investment from Chinese companies.
