Abu Dhabi’s SEHA partners with King Fahad Specialist Hospital in Saudi Arabia

The two entities will cooperate on several areas including stem cell transplantation

The Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) the largest healthcare network in the UAE, has signed a wide-ranging MoU with King Fahad Specialist Hospital (KFSH-D), Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

It aims to establish training programmes, exchange administrative and clinical knowledge and expertise, and promote services in the fields of medicine, academia, and clinical research.

The two entities will cooperate on several areas including stem cell transplantation, reported state news agency WAM.

The agreement was signed between Dr Abdulaziz Al Ghamdi, CEO of of the First Health Cluster in Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia, SEHA’s group CEO Dr. Gareth Goodier, and the CEO of King Fahad Specialist Hospital-Dammam, Omar Sharif.

“Throughout SEHA’s legacy, we have seen the power of partnerships facilitate the exchange of best-practice, knowledge and clinical expertise, ultimately contributing to the elevation of the provision of healthcare to the nation’s community,” said Goodier.

“We are pleased to continue this journey by partnering with King Fahad Specialty Hospital, breaking down geographical borders and collaborating with our neighbours to bring world class, unparalleled healthcare to the region.”
