Abu Dhabi’s tourist attractions and events can now operate at full capacity
It has also approved an extension of the green pass validity period on the Al Hosn app from 14 to 30 days for those who are fully vaccinated
Starting Friday, April 29, all commercial activities, tourist attractions, and events in Abu Dhabi can return to 100 per cent operating capacity.
It came as a result of a directive issued by the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee on Thursday.
The authorities have also approved an extension of the green pass validity period from 14 to 30 days for those who are fully vaccinated.
It has however mandated the continued use of masks in indoor spaces.
In related developments, earlier this month, the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) in a circular issued to all private and charter schools in the emirate, said that all students must return to in-classroom.
All vaccinated students aged 16 and over as well as teachers and staff must undergo PCR tests every 14 days, and show their green status on Al Hosn App to enter schools. The same testing routine and requirements apply for the same categories with medical exemption validated on Al Hosn app.

PCR test validity remain 30 days for students aged under 16. Al Hosn Green Pass requirements will apply to all school visitors, while unvaccinated visitors will be required to present a negative PCR test result recorded within the last 48 hours.
Starting last month, Abu Dhabi also lifted the restriction on non-vaccinated visitors to enter events, tourist attractions and cultural sites in the emirate.

Also, vaccinated travellers do not need to conduct a pre-departure PCR test when heading to the UAE, provided that they have a Covid-19 vaccination certificate with a QR code on it. Unvaccinated travellers bound for the UAE must show a negative PCR test conducted within 48 hours of departure, or a recovery certificate with a QR code that confirms they have recovered from the virus within a month of the date of travel.
