Home Industry Hospitality Accor To Open New Ibis Hotel In Jeddah The French hospitality group will operate the new ibis Madinah Road in Jeddah Saudi Arabia. by Heather Jimaa June 9, 2014 Accor Hotel Services has signed a management agreement with Saudi-based Al Ahlam Holding to operate the new ibis Madinah Road in Jeddah. The hotel, which is set to features 300 rooms, will be located near the Jeddah corniche and will include an all-day dining restaurant, lobby lounge, café and meeting rooms. The property is set to open in 2018. “The future ibis Jeddah Madinah Road will cater to the growing need for quality economy hotels,” said Christophe Landais, chief operating officer for Accor Hotel Services Middle East. The French hospitality group is currently embarking on a major Middle East expansion including the extension of the regionally exclusive Majilis Grand Mercure brand. The company operates 15 hotels in the Kingdom, covering a broad range of segments, and 14 ibis hotels across the Gulf region, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Egypt. The group, whose brands include Sofitel, Novotel and ibis, plans to reach 100 hotels in the region by 2017, with 27 properties under construction and 14 set to open this year. Accor Middle East currently operates a total of 65 hotels with more than 15,600 rooms in the region. 0 Comments
