Home Industry Technology Acer announces senior management changes for MEA region Massimiliano Rossi takes on the role of Acer’s regional vice president for Middle East and Africa by Gulf Business December 29, 2021 Acer has appointed Massimiliano Rossi as regional vice president (VP) for Middle East and Africa (MEA) alongside his ongoing role as head of Product Business Unit (PBU) for Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). The multinational corporation has also appointed Michele Montecchio as country manager for Middle East effective from January 1, 2022 following the decision of Paul Collins who, after a successful tenure of driving the Acer MEA business for seven years, has decided to retire. Under Collin’s leadership, Acer has been focused heavily on strengthening its operations in the region and has taken various measures to develop its business locally. Rossi has been serving as VP EMEA PBU since 2017. He has been with the firm since 2007, having started in product development. During his nearly 15-year association with Acer, Rossi has worked in different leadership capacities. He joined the Acer EMEA PBU in 2013 and has been instrumental in building efficient operations for the brand. Montecchio will be relocating to Dubai for his new role. He was previously serving as EMEA senior manager, Consumer Notebooks and Gaming for the organisation.
