Home Industry Energy ADNOC awards $172m contract to National Petroleum Construction The firm is tasked with doubling production at the Bou Hasir field by Staff Writer July 3, 2018 Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has awarded a Dhs633m ($172.3m) contract to National Petroleum Construction Company to develop the Bou Hasir oil field. The Abu Dhabi Industries subsidiary, which is 70 per cent owned by the government of Abu Dhabi, is tasked with increasing production at the field from 8,000 to 16,000 barrels per day. The contract includes engineering, procurement, manufacturing, transportation and installation of a new platform, the laying of pipelines to transportoil and water, a 3km sea cable and a 16km cable on the island of Zirku. Construction and modification of new facilities on Das Island and Zirku Island area mong the other works expected to be completed by the end of next year. “We are proud of this confidence, which reflects the company’s advanced technical level at the local, regional and global levels,” said NPCC CEO Ahmed Salem Al Dhaheri. ADNOC said in May it planned to invest nearly $45bn in downstream operations.
