Air Arabia Abu Dhabi to begin flying to additional destination in India

The low-cost carrier will start flights to the capital of Rajasthan on May 5, 2022

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi has announced that it will begin twice-weekly direct flights to Jaipur, the capital of the state of Rajasthan in India, from next month.

The UAE’s first low-cost carriers said that its flights connecting Abu Dhabi and Jaipur, also known as the Pink City, will commence from May 5, 2022.

Flight 3L 175 will depart from Abu Dhabi every Monday and Thursday at 12.05am and reach Jaipur at 4.55am.

Flight 3L 176 meanwhile will depart from Jaipur at 5.40am and reach Abu Dhabi at 7.40am.

The new service represents the 18th route for Air Arabia Abu Dhabi since the launch of the carrier’s service from Abu Dhabi International Airport in July 2020. Bookings have already opened for the new route on the carrier’s website.

In related developments, the airline confirmed recently that it will begin a new service to Turkey’s Istanbul, starting April 29. Abu Dhabi travellers will now be able to fly direct to Sabiha Gokcen International Airport, Istanbul. The carrier introduced a new service to Trabzon in Turkey with direct flights starting July 2021.

Air Arabia reported a net profit of AED 720 million for the full year ending December 31, 2021, an increase of 475 per cent compared to AED 192 million net loss registered for the full year 2020.

Air Arabia also carried more than 6.7 million passengers in 2021 from its five hubs in the UAE, Morocco and Egypt, an increase of 54 per cent compared to the 4.3 million passengers it did the previous year.
