Air Arabia Egypt launches new route between Alexandria and Medinah

The direct flights, commencing on October 31, will connect Borg Al Arab Airport and Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport

Air Arabia Egypt has announced the launch of its new direct flights from Alexandria to Medinah in Saudi Arabia.

The new direct flights, commencing on October 31, will connect Borg Al Arab Airport and Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport.

The flight to Alexandra will depart at 4.15am, and arrive in Medinah at 7.10am. It will depart Medinah at 8am and arrive in Alexandria at 9.20am (all local times).

Adel Al Ali, group CEO, Air Arabia: “We are glad to add Medinah to our growing network from Egypt, offering our travellers with direct connectivity between both cities. We are confident that the new service will further contribute to the overall travel and tourism sector of Egypt and Saudi Arabia through providing an affordable and value-driven travel option to passengers traveling between the two countries.”

The latest route to Medinah marks the tenth city that Air Arabia Egypt flies to in the Saudi Arabia, after Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Tabuk, Taif, Al Jouf, Hail, Abha and Gassim.

Air Arabia operates a fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 neo-LR aircraft  on these routes.

In recent news, UAE’s Air Arabia and Sudan-based conglomerate DAL Group have announced the planned launch of a JV company to be based in Khartoum International Airport. The JV company ‘Air Arabia Sudan’ will operate a fleet of new Airbus A320 aircraft. Based in Khartoum, the new company will adopt the low-cost business model operated by Air Arabia Group across its existing network, with the ticket pricing model accessible to all income-groups.
