Home GCC Oman Air Arabia Egypt to launch direct flights from Cairo to Muscat The carrier will launch a twice-weekly service between Cairo to Muscat, starting March 11, 2021 by Varun Godinho February 22, 2021 Budget carrier Air Arabia Egypt has announced that it will launch a twice-weekly service between Cairo to Muscat, starting March 11, 2021. Flight E5 753 will depart Cairo every Monday and Thursday at 12.55pm and arrive in Muscat at 6.35pm. The return flight, E5 754, will depart from Muscat at 7.25pm and arrive into Cairo by 10.05pm. The flights will be operated using an Airbus A320, bookings of which have already commenced on the carrier’s website. Air Arabia also recently announced that it would resume direct flights between Sharjah and Luxor, starting February 23, 2021. During October to December 2020, it recorded a turnover of Dhs536m, 53 per cent lower than Q4 2019, while serving more than 1.2 million passengers across the carrier’s five hubs. As for the full year ending December 31, 2020, Air Arabia’s net loss stood at Dhs192m, while its turnover equalled Dhs1.85bn, with a total of 4.4 million passengers served across all its hubs.
