All the 102 passengers on board were safely evacuated. “All passengers were evacuated through ladder. All safe. No casualties,” a Cochin International Airport Limited spokesperson was quoted as saying. The incident took place at around 2.40am when flight IX 452 was approaching the parking bay, the spokesperson said. According to reports, the Boeing 737-800 aircraft apparently took a turn too soon from the taxiway and went off track. The nose-wheel of the aircraft also reportedly collapsed after it went off the taxiway. The aircraft has been grounded after the incident. An internal inquiry has been initiated and Indian aviation regulator DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) is also investigating the incident. 0 Comments
