Home GCC UAE Ajman announces new remote working policy for government staff Employees on probation and those who need to be physically present in their offices will not be part of the new work system by Gulf Business September 21, 2020 A new remote working resolution has been announced for government employees in Ajman. Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, the representative of His Highness the Ruler of Ajman for Administrative and Financial Affairs, has issued a policy, local media have reported. The directive, entailing partial and full-time remote working policies, will apply to all government agencies. Some employees can work remotely the entire time, while others may opt for partial remote work schedules, which allow for a physical presence on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Employees on probation and those who need to be physically present in their offices will not be part of the new work system. Last month, Dubai and Abu Dhabi government employees, whose children were enrolled in distance learning, were granted permission to work remotely.
