Home Industry Construction Al Naboodah appointed main contractor for Creekside 18 project in Dubai Creekside 18 residences is a two-tower apartment complex in the Dubai Creek Harbour project by Aarti Nagraj August 23, 2017 Dubai developer Emaar has awarded the main construction contract for its waterfront residential project Creekside 18 to Al Naboodah Construction Group (ANCG) – part of the Al Naboodah Group Enterprises, it was announced on Wednesday. The size of the contract was not disclosed. Launched by Dubai developer Emaar Properties in September 2015, Creekside 18 residences is a two-tower apartment complex that is situated in the Island district of the Dubai Creek Harbour project. It consists of 480 residential units with one, two and three bedroom apartments. Under the contract, ANCG will be responsible for the construction of the two 37-storey residential towers, each with residential units, technical floors, penthouses and commercial units, plus external works and landscaping. Works, which commenced earlier this year, have been on-track with substructure and in situ concrete superstructure progressing, a statement said. In July, Dubai contractor Arabtec announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, EFECO (Emirates Falcon Electromechanical Co) had won a Dhs113m contract from Al Naboodah for the MEP works of the development. Work on the project began last month, and the duration of the project will be 22 months, it said. The wider Dubai Creek Harbour project – a joint venture of Emaar Properties and Dubai Holding – is located next to Ras Al Khor wildlife sanctuary, and is a 6 sq km mixed-use development with waterfront resorts, a yacht club and a marina as well as retail and commercial space. Along with Creekside 18, it will also feature other residential projects such as Creek Gate, Harbour Gate, The Cove, Dubai Creek Residences, Harbour Views and Creek Horizon homes. It will also feature a 4.5km-long Creek Boardwalk offering high-end retail and leisure options. Other amenities include event spaces, galleries, parks, water features. The development will also host what is slated to become the world’s new tallest building – The Tower at Dubai Creek Harbour. The $1bn mixed-use building will form the centerpiece of the Dubai Creek Harbour master-development and is anticipated to be completed by 2020. The Tower will beat Burj Khalifa (828 metres) as the tallest building in the world, but the exact height of the new building has not yet been disclosed.
