The series will reportedly consist of four models: the standard iPhone 15, the iPhone 15 Plus, the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max. iPhone 15 rumoured features The standard iPhone 15 will ditch the notch in favour of a punch-hole display. The Pro and Pro Max models will come with a new display technology called low-injection pressure over-molding, which can significantly reduce the border size, according to reports. Apple is also expected to ditch the Lightning charger and switch to the USB-C standard. Regarding the camera, the standard models will have a 48-megapixel rear camera, while the Pro Max model will have a periscope lens with up to 5-6x optical zoom. The standard and 15 Plus models are said to maintain a familiar appearance, but users can expect significant improvements and the A16 chip from the iPhone 14 Pro line. The Pro models will likely use Apple’s A17 chip. Meanwhile, a new feature called the ‘action button’ will replace the physical mute switch. This button can be programmed to perform various functions, such as silent mode control, flashlight activation and focus mode engagement. The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models are rumoured to cost $1,099 and $1,299, respectively. However, these prices are not official yet. The official dates for the Apple event have not been revealed, and users will need to wait. Apple Vision Pro In other news, earlier this year, Apple unveiled its long-awaited mixed-reality headset, capping more than seven years of development and vaulting the company into a market that could someday transform computing.
