Apple to reopen a few stores, strict safety precautions in place

More than two months after most Apple stores around the world closed, the company is planning to return to work gradually but with strict health and safety procedures in place.

The company has decided to reopen 25 of its stores this week, and subsequently open the remaining.

All visitors must undergo a temperature check (fever being one of the most common symptoms of Covid-19) and wear a face mask.

If a visitor does not posses one, the staff will hand over a face mask to them.

Those who do not comply with these conditions will be denied entry into the store.

Currently, a few Apple stores will return to work in the traditional manner, with employees focusing on “personal service” for each visitor.

Other stores though will be reopened to meet maintenance service requests and to receive devices that needs to be sent to the tech giant’s maintenance units.

Apple closed its stores in January this year. While its China stores have reopened since then, most of its other stores around the world remained closed in adherence to local laws that prevented them from reopening.

With the recent push by governments globally to restart economies and open businesses, Apple too hopes for all of its stores to resume operations.
