Atlantis The Royal in Dubai has been named among the World’s 50 Best Hotels.
The latest addition to the Atlantis Hotel group, owned by Dubai’s sovereign wealth fund, ranked 44th in the list which includes properties from 35 locations across six continents.
Atlantis Royal opened just eight months ago and has had consistent demand. Timothy Kelly, managing director of Atlantis Dubai said in a recent interview, the new hotel’s occupancy rate has been “near 80 per cent” while the average daily rate is $1,200, he added.

Atlantis The Royal is an ultra-luxury property of 795 rooms, suites and penthouses. It houses Michelin-starred restaurants as well curated experiences for its guests.
On making it to the list, Kelly, said, “Being recognised on the inaugural list of The World’s 50 Best Hotels, just eight months after opening in Dubai, is a remarkable achievement that fills us with immense pride and gratitude. This accolade reflects the dedication and passion of all our colleagues in providing exceptional experiences to our guests from day one. We are truly grateful to Kerzner International for their unwavering support and are more motivated than ever to continue raising the bar and setting new standards of excellence in hospitality.”
The top spot in the coveted list was awarded to Passalacqua in Moltrasio, Lake Como, Italy. The waterfront property is a new entrant to Italy’s hospitality scene as it opened its doors to visitors just a year ago.
